Eliel Marcos de Almeida

He learned the craft in Taquarituba alongside Luiz Rodrigues and founded Hossony in 1989. He is known for his double basses and cellos, for his excellence in painting and varnish, and for the sound quality of every instrument he builds.

Ricardo Marcos

Eliel’s son, he grew up in the workshop and works at the bench beside his father, applying the same methods so every instrument keeps the standard that gave Hossony its name.

A family tradition

The Hossony name in every instrument.

Since 1989 Hossony has been a family affair. Eliel worked alone and with his sons, passing on the tools, the moulds and the secrets of painting and varnish.

Every instrument carries the family label inside, signed by hand. It is our guarantee of authorship and authenticity — and our promise that no piece leaves the bench without the same quality as always.
